this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Could someone who could see the game (since I couldn't) tell me how Watson looked. He had 5 tackles and 3 assists. That isn't too shabby....

RE: Watson
He looked okay (IMHO) I just don't see a lot of pop from him for a MLB. He had a questionable holding call in pass defense. Look nice in pass coverage. Colby had a few missed tackles which surprised me. On theother side Hodge played ok. Missed a few takles as well. The linebackers did ok as a unit. Secondary will improve. If Mckenzie doesn't try to strip the ball and makes a tackle on Smith stats would have been better.

RE: Watson
I would probably give Watson a B or B- in today's game. His run defense was solid and I don't think he missed a tackle, but his pass defense seemed to be a little shaky, drawing (I think) 2 penalties on passing plays. Overall tho, he played pretty well.

RE: Watson
needs to learn how to wrap up better, seen him lose two tackles because he couldnt bring a guy down, otherwise I thought he played well.

RE: Watson
right Max. and on both those missed opps the panthers were able to get yardage and keep their drive alive. Ya can't do that.

RE: Watson
I thought Watson was adequate today, but only just barely. He's definitely no Ray Lewis. But he's not awful either.
I thought Colby was a disappointment today - he had position to make a couple of great plays, but let the guy zip past via mistackle. Hodge has always been a mistake in my book, the only thing I remember from him today was a penalty. |

RE: Watson
Hodge play like he to damn scared. It look like if he is not getting runover, he is being push out of the play. Damn, Bellamy play more like a lb and Hodge play like corner.
