Is his best role as a receiver? Or where does he line up best as a receiver?

I’d say his best role as a receiver is in the slot. You want him to match up with a LB or safety because his route running isn’t as crisp as a receivers would be, his hands aren’t as sure, and he’s honestly not blazing fast. He’s not threat with a cornerback on him.

That’s one thing I loved about Reggie Bush. He was a mismatch no matter where you lined him up at because he was faster than most cornerbacks. Teams always had to keep an eye on him because he was a big play waiting to happen. The best decoy we’ve ever had. He was ahead of his time.

Also, I don’t always like the routes Payton calls for Kamara out of the backfield. He’s used a check down to often. Send him on the Texas route. Send him on a a streak from back there. Get more creative. But nah...Kamara definitely isn’t a WR.

Best mismatch he gets is when he runs wheel routes and delay releases out of the backfield because he draws LBers more on those routes than any other...

Fair point... SP doesn't run him downhill for a pass like he did RB. While he's not a WR, SP interchanges his RB with WR in terms of lining them up, and sometimes running routes.

The light just clicked on after going through the videos and ya'lls thoughtful input and I've got the concept now. Thanks ya'll. I really like the idea of a position group breakdown each week until TC gets going while we're all bored. Who Dat! :bng:
