Hats off to the Panther fans...

What a classy act the fans did as the Saints marched out to the field... and with the signs... that was great to see.

Agreed man, they were awesome. They might well be the classiest fans in the league. Makes ya proud, doesn't it? They raised over $200,000 dollars at that game for the region. It just makes ya proud.

I heard it was $170,000 or something....no less....those fans are great! I'm proud to be an American. Hey LOE, are you in NC?

LOL! Just asking....I have a sister who lives there....just in case you and you're old lady need some help...maybe somewhere to stay for a bit. Just checkin bro.

Thnx man, very nice of you. The old lady and I need to line up more permanent housing, and I don't want to head back to N.O. - I just can't live through another one like that. I think I'm out for good, except for family visits.

I might well head over to the Triangle area next week, that is if this new little hurricane doesn't ruin my plans again. The Triangle is up in the Piedmont Plateau (between Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill), so a hurricane shouldn't be anything more than a nasty rainstorm by the time it gets that far inland and up to that elevation.

It's supposed to be a beautiful spot, a hot high-tech economy, with a few websites listing it as the best place to live in the US. And the rents I'm seeing (for fully furnished apartments) are ridulously low - I think I'll have to check it out. And the fans sure seem to be ok.....

So maybe....

Hey I was at the game yesterday and boy was it good. I had nosebleed seats with my wife and brother. The carolina fans were very loud until we had that good opening drive then they shut up. Anybody see that hit Conwell well everybody was saying he was in the Carolina Panthers way how come he got hit like that. I got pictures and everything. I live in Charlotte Area and just moved from Asheville, NC area. We lived in Mandeville, LA & Hammond, LA for 10 to 15 years and my wife is from Houma, LA. Saints fans all our lives. One of our friends in New Orleans lost her house to the floods. At the game we saw a family from the 3rd ward New Orleans.

Since I can't watch the games here on this side of the water, what did they do?

Class.

Crusader...do you get to watch the games afterwards or do you just follow the game online?
If there are Saints fans in Sweden, we should see that someone hooks you up with a game tape or something.

Euphoria 09-12-2005 06:15 PM

I hope they get the same support from other teams as they did the Panthers. I have to say I don't hate the Panthers...

Crusader 09-13-2005 11:34 AM

Thanks for posting those pics. Thats really classy. Good to see.

I don't get to watch the games afterwards because hardly any of them are shown on TV in Sweden. We got one channel showing MNF every week and the playoffs. So I will be sure to catch Saits when they come on later on this year. Don't know yet if they will show the game against Giants. I used to listen to all the hames on web radio from some local station in New Orleans but they were forbidden to air the games on the web for some reason. Now I just follow the team by NFLs gamecenter and through reading reading and reading :)

SaintStoneyMount 09-13-2005 12:33 PM

you can't get NFL.com field pass in Sweden? That's how I listen to the game. Even when I can catch it on TV I turn the sound down and listen to the NO broadcastors. I want to get Direct TV's league pass but I would have to get Direct TV for that and I enjoy FREE basic in my building. So far this season I've got the first two games. If the Saints start the season 2-0 its a good chance I'll end up calling Direct TV Tuesday.

Crusader 09-14-2005 08:09 AM

Yeah I can get fieldpass in Sweden but I have been lacking the money so far. Its hard when you are in college to have money enough for everything.
