Re: Saints DE Cam Jordan says he's "more rejuvenated than ever"
I wonder how much of this was accelerated by his injuries. Since his shoulder injury recovery he avoided serious injury for a long time. He had foot issues (not making light of it) a bit as I recall, but nothing torso or arm related. Then he gets a fluke hand injury followed by a lung/rib serious hit. Just saying if he could have avoided those, who knows?

It’s the larger reason why my bias is in favor of younger players. |

Re: Saints DE Cam Jordan says he's "more rejuvenated than ever"
As rezburna pointed out, Jordan was coming off an off-season surgery on his core, an adductor muscle that tore off the bone in December 2019. Most people have completely overlooked that. That would absolutely have an impact on play. He's now 17 months out from that surgery and should be 100% this season. Let's see what difference it makes.

Re: Saints DE Cam Jordan says he's "more rejuvenated than ever"
Davenport's main issues have been turf toe and lis franc. Those can both be very debilitating. I read players play through torn adductors fairly commonly. It really depends upon which of the five adductors that is the issue. The pain can be alleviated, apparently, enough so to play. It's more of a stability issue. A lineman plays off the balls of their feet giving them leverage and drive. That has to be nearly impossible with turf toe or lis franc. I've had a lis franc pull before and it's a *****.
