Top 3 favorite all time Saints part I WRs
Doing this for laughs and giggles. I’m asking who favorites are and it as relevant as asking favorite ice creams. Doesn’t mean these players were best. And I am picking lesser known guys. But who did you like? We will all start with WRs and I’ll go first
Eric Martin. The leading WR on a team in a non passing league. Robert Meacham. That strip against Washington was glorious. Brett Permian. |

There were some great Saints receivers in their Superbowl era. My list begins with Marques Colston absolutely. He, Deuce and Drew are my favorite Saints players of all time.
I was at the Washington game when Meachem stripped the ball after the interception. It was a thing of beauty! |

We're picking three WRs?
WRx - Marques Colston, absolute class-act, solemn warrior, undefendable high-point in the red zone... WRz - Wes Chandler, Top 12 WR in ReYds in NFL history when he retired, smoked some of the best DBs in his day... WRs - Danny Abramowicz, All-Pro on some horrible teams, amazing hands, sneaky route runner, tough as nails... Honorable Mention - know he left unceremoniously, but if he'd play'd another three~four seasons, I'd had Brandin Cooks as my WRz... Only thing stopping this group would be bad offensive line play... |

Re: Top 3 favorite all time Saints part I WRs
When training camp was in my backyard at Nicholls State in Thibodaux, only thing that'd made it better if it was during the early-mid Brees' era...
However, will share this story... There was a Western Sizzlin on Canal St in Thibodaux; though the once very popular chain had waned in past decade, that location stayed busy with good fare... Within the main building (also had a reception building) they had what some of us call the large party room for 20-40 guests (we used it for fraternity dinners)... Now that party room could be shut off, but mostly you could still see the guests as there were plenty of windows on the interior wall... One night, I'd brought my spouse and daughter and we were gonna take in that night practice under the lights after, so we were dining around 5pm... Because the location was popular, especially with training camp, you could end up seated among Saints players... So as my family navigated the elongated dining we nodded to several Saints players and coaches, fans amongst them were absolutely giddy... We were all the way to the back, and I asked the hostess why the Saints were being seated in the party room... She told me Joe Horn had it with his family, kids (absolute mess of kids); I responded "sure hope the Saints give him a signing bonus with the new contract..." Haslett sitting next to where we were being seated nearly choked laughing; ironic as Haslett quietly had his own domestic issues settled by Benson in Thibodaux... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

I can't argue with those choices, however. MT will soon join them. | |
