Rugby Saint II

Boy, talk about bringing back old memories. It was a well written article that brought the memories flooding back. I have been a fan well over 40 years and was fortunate enough to see most of them play at the Dome.

Plus One. Met him on his first flight to New Orleans as we were waiting to disembark the plane...

As we got off the plane the humidity and funk hit; as I traveled alot at that time, I asked "Is this your first time here?"

Sammy said, "Yeah, I am trying to get on with the Saints."

Had season tickets at that time and I'd just read how he was being brought in; we walked down the concourse, and my cousin and I gave him some tips to the area...

Wished him well and I told him the Louisiana kitchens smell a whole lot better - "That's what I heard," he said.

Next time I saw him was at a Meet-the-Saints, my cousin and her BF were with me and my GF and he recognized us; he said he appreciated our tips on food and fun...

Just a super nice guy; yeah, one of my favorites and the definition of a football player - would love to have him at SS in this secondary...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
