B.S. We will know pretty early in camp who gets the job. With these two guys you can’t just wait till after game three to make the decision. Two totally different skill sets.

May the best man win. Does anyone doubt who has the best skill set?

Nope. Clearly Winston as a QB. He has the ability to make reads past the first option. Hill makes the better TE, kick returner, kick coverage, and occasional specialty play choice.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, will the decision going to be made based on practice and then in preseason give the anointed the most action? I know starters usually don't see a lot of action but I would think this might be different with a new field general, especially (either way) a new one with a lot of questions. Or will they both get equal action throughout preseason to A. decide who is the right full starter and B. throw everyone else off on who is actually going to be the starter? (if I knew how to make the popcorn eating emoji, one would be here now)

I had a bizarre dream last night. In my dream scenario Jameis signed with another team and Drew came back for a final year in 2021. We were playing the Vikings and Drew's arm/shoulder were not right at all and his throws were badly off - he had 6 interceptions in the first quarter. Payton then benched him for Taysom, but Taysom had some kind of infection with swelling in his hands and he couldn't grip the ball so we had to take him out too. Despite all the difficulty, the game was still close because the Vikings had AP who kept fumbling the ball. So then we put in Ian Book, who magically transformed into a cartoon cat like Sylvester. He took the snap and ran around in big circles like Speedy Gonzalez and no one could catch him. Book was too unaware to score a TD though so the half ended with the clock at zeroes and Book running out of bounds, and then I woke up.

It sounds more like a nightmare.

I write this off to pure opinion, why would a dude from Boston have the scoop on the Saints over the local beat like Underhill, etc..

I honestly think the only way Taysom is the starter this season is if he clearly outperforms Jameis in TC...I feel like an essential "tie" will give it to Jameis. So if Taysom is the starter, I can't even be mad, because it means either: a) Jameis blew it in camp/exhibition, meaning he's not the answer anyways, or b) Taysom exploded in the same time period, meaning Saints have a decent starter.

Either way I can live with it. But I'm definitely on team Jameis: just a way higher ceiling.

The real twist is coming. We are expecting either Taysom Hill or Jameis Winston, but out of nowhere no 9 will walk on the field and line up under center. The papers will read "Sean does it again."
