Re: Open Pool on Kickers!
I'll be willing to bet he's kicked off in the past and if only for a preseason game what would it matter? I would actually expect that they'd want him to practice it even if the PK was assigned the duty. You know Payton and being able to handle multiple tasks.

Re: Open Pool on Kickers!
Well, Lutz got hurt doing kicker duties in spring training, I’m guessing there is a risk to losing the punter doing the same thing...especially since it’s not his normal job. It’s obvious a player can get hurt doing it since it just happened...that’s what it could matter.

Re: Open Pool on Kickers!
Yet funny enough they are working out kicker today...almost as if they don’t want their punter to take the risk. See, now this is a chop-busting worthy statement you made.

Show me that exact "chop-busting worthy statement". You are really reaching for unobtainable chops. *SMH* |

That is busting worthy. It’s condescending and besides, how do you know what players and coaches worry about more than I do? Their regular kicker just got hurt. Why would they NOT be worried about a non-kicker getting hurt doing duties that are outside of his norm. JP was correct in that some punters handle kickoff duties, but I bet it has been a long time since an NFL team has willingly gone into a game, regular or preseason, with only a designated punter on the roster. |
You think you know, but you don’t know...and you never will! Coach Jim Mora

You are losing it, brother. Back up and reread your diatribe. Once again, chill. |
