I guess they thought the Bucs win over the Vikes was a fluke? Bucs did make a jump, though.

I didn't see the Bucs game, but I'm concerned. They looked tough, eh? Or did Minny just look bad? A little of both? Either way, it's a surprise to me. Minny was my sleeper pick for the Superbowl, and I didn't consider TB to be a division contender.

So three out of four teams in our division won games, the only loss going to a division match-up. Typical... looks like another tough year in the NFC South.

Besides TB/Minny, the real shockers for me in week one were ATL/PHL and KC/NYJ.

First, I thought PHL would decimate the Falcons. The Dirty Birds are coming off a winning year, and the open by spanking Philly?... does this mean they finally shake the "never had back-to-back winning seasons" curse? Of course I hope not, but damn how I wish we had Mora Jr. as our D coordinator.

KC has a defense? Not just an improved defense, but a fast and effective defense? I know they beefed up on D this offseason, but I didn't really believe they'd be good - I thought they'd just be average. But with the O they've got, this tidbit could be is scary. If they go all the way, I'd hate to see Roaf riding the bench. He deserves to be in the big one before he's done.

can anyone help me id this tune? it goes thwap thwap boom tch boom tch boom tch.

You have to include Miami over Denver, and San Fran over STL in that LOE. Numerous upsets.

Also, Minny looked bad, cause Tampa's D made them look bad. They were everywhere. The D kept them up until Caddy broke that one long run, which inflated his numbers. They looked tough. Hopefully it was a fluke. Atlanta's defense looks pretty damn good too. Our division is loaded.

I saw some of the Minny Game at a bar, they "revamped" their D but looks like they may have taken a step backwards, and with no Moss I can't see how they've improved. Carolina's O-line is hurt again, they are in the same boat as last year now. I don't know about Tampa... let's see what they do next week and after. That's a mystery. Atlanta is good and may be the division winner this year. If the Saints are designed to stop Vick and company watch the Saints steal a game from Atlanta this year, but the Fal-coons are good.

Thanks for the info.

Surprises? - true dat. There were surprises everywhere:
TB over Minny
SF over STL
Detroit over GB
Jacksonville over Seattle
MIA over Denver

What a first week. I think I'd better start paying more attention to Gruden and the Bucs.

Besides the injuries to their O-Line, the ACL injury to Jenkins is a disaster - it almost doesn't seem fair to Carolina fans, losing a guy like him in week 1. They'll still contend, I'm sure, but after the rash of injuries last year, that's got to be crushing.

tampa looks toguh so far. could be they have a running back now. i think minnies problems are from burk being out for the year. have to admit i didn't even remember about that until theyt pointed it out on espn and you could see the center of the line getting a beating for minny. atlanta looks TOUGH. man either the eagles o isn't that good or they have a tough tough d. in which case we probably can't beat them for the divy. i'll take wild card. you never know once the playoffs start. here is another burning question are the giants for real. i penciled this as an easy win. probably should never do that with the saints IE the arizona game last year. is arizona just that bad or are the giants just that tough. to early to tell. we will find a lot out this week about our beloved saints. my biggest fear is the let down. they drop an egg because they had such an emotional win against carolina. i think carolina is in real trouble. the entire div. won except them and they have the pats this week. it is at home which is another reason they could be in big trouble. if they loose they probably fall two games behind at least one of our division teams. it is only the second week but for us i think this is a game we need to win again. w ehave another 2 games on the road and isn't one of them the bills. that is going to be tough for us to win especially in buffy. if we can come out of theese four games 3-1 we are in good shap. i will even take 2-2. it is better then 1-3. we really need this win against the giants. minny is going to be tough at home. don't care about last weeks blunder. at buffy is even tougher because their d is down right nasty. are we really at buf. then at green bay. ridiculous. no reason for that. oh wait are we playing buf at home now. didnt they say we have 7 home games. not sure how much that helps but hopefully it does. i think we beat green bay. we will drive it right down their d's throat with a little bit of go f yourself with it. could be 3-2 or 4-1. depends on this giants game. alright im out. i got going and couldn't stop. figured i better or i will breaking down the entire chgedule one week into the season. lets go boys. another strong game is what we need

Your team stinks

Fox sports have us ranked at 7...
Me personaly, I like the low teens for ranking...flying under the radar seems to work a little better for the Saints....

In 2002, the Saints eventually worked their way up to #1 at some point in the season, if I remember correctly.

Let's hope the end result isn't the same as that one
