Coaching matters, even at this level. Not sure how much longer we'll have the services of Nielsen on that D Line.

That won't get us a draft pick will it? Honestly, I'm surprised that he's still here because he has done wonders with our D-line

I'm fine with that. DA needs everyone to play prefect football for his system to work. Actually, he's only had a couple of good seasons since he's been here. In fact, I would lay the blame squarely on his shoulders for not bringing home another Lombardi trophy.

DL coach and DC are different animals. But you never know. Maybe he thinks he's ready for the jump. Maybe the Saints give him a bump and another title, like assistant DC.

I'd say the jump to being a HC would be more natural for some DL Position Group Coaches than to a Coordinator job...

In the right system, I think he'd have a lot of success as DC.
