Play in a local tennis league and enjoy it. I'm not awesome of anything, but I love to play. More will than skill LOL. So yeah that is an influence, but even during years when I was overweight and wasn't playing I still loved watching. |

I was a big tennis fan back in the Connors/McEnroe/Borg days. Gripping TV IMO. The game lost a bit of appeal with the racket tech and the transfer to the big serve style. Big rallies are a thing of the past unfortunately.

Indeed. I do enjoy watching the women’s game for that very reason. I also forgot to mention Ivan Lendl. During the 80s watching him play was great!

LOL! I just went out to the garage and found my old Wilson T3000 racket hanging on the wall. It's got to be 45 years old and the strings are still intact. That was the racket I used in the mid 70's. Hell, it was the only racket I used. |
