Hate to say it, if I feel surprisingly good about this game. Rodgers hasn’t played any in preseason and the Packers have not looked good. While not
as good as playing in the dome, it’s been noted that Rodgers struggles in Florida, so that could help. D-line and LBs have looked good. So have Winston and Callaway.

Now why would you hate to say it? Positivity should never be feared. But, I agree with you. I feel very good about this week. Besides, it's pretty difficult to go 20-0 if you lose the first game.

-Saints defense vs A Rod
-Latt vs Devante’ Adams
-Alexander vs Callaway

Winston regime begins 😎.

Can’t wait.

Being forced onto the road for our first home game will give us an extra chip on our shoulders, much like Tulane. I think we'll play fantastic and a rout of the Packers is not out of the question.

Hopefully it’s muggy as hell in Jacksonville on Sunday. Packers are definitely not used to that southern heat and humidity.

That could spell “cramp city” for their players 😊.

Every fan feels their team is going to go 20-0 at the start of the season. I know I’m not putting on pads for the game myself, but over confidence is a killer sometimes. I just like to play things a little more conservatively personally. If one expects the worst, then all surprises are pleasant.

I never expect the worst in anything. I'd much rather deal with unexpected disappointment than to always having the feeling of dread.

Prepare for the worst but hope for the best. I'm a pessimistic optimist.

That's exactly how I feel for this game. I think that the Saints have very little chance of winning this one.

I, of course, hope that I'm wrong and that the Saints trounce the Packers by a double digit score. :bng:

I am fully expecting the Saints to win this game. Many people, including our own fans, are greatly underestimating this team. Our offense is going to be more dynamic with Winston under center than we were with an injured Brees. The defense is going to make the day long for a Packers' offense that is starting two rookies on the o-line.

Me to. If the glass is full it only has one way to go, down.

Are you telling me we’re going into week one against Aaron Rodgers with Desmond Trufant and Paulson Adebo at CB?!?

Saints and Payton were telling you that with all the CB signings...

Two streets about me have power, but we're the main trunk in this area and still no power?!? And local cable won't work lines till, so no internet...

#MerdeMerdeMerde

Adjusting for data transfer rate using my iPhone as a hotspot, it'll take 14 hrs to watch the game with all the latency - something would simply have to die...

I hope for a sunday miracle and all power and internet is restored!
We had a Cat 1 hurricane Larry pass through on Saturday night.. Power was knocked for a few hours.. some damage but nothing serious. I can't imagine what it must be like to go through cat 4-5 hurricances.. you guys are a tough bunch down there!

And hey cheers to another year.. I feel less stressed about this season then any other.. I consider that a win !

Hope those in NOLA are doing as well as can be expected and can get your power back soon. I won't be watching the game or posting on here until well after the game is over ... my plan is to watch the US Open men's championship and see if Djokovic is able to pull off the grand slam and effectively become the undisputed tennis GOAT. Not often you get a chance to watch for that kind of history in a sport!

I will be recording the Saints/Packers game and start watching it ASAP after the US Open is over. I have a good feeling about this game - we are catching the Packers early so they have no rhythm and all the pressure is on them because of the Last Dance thing. I think they'll tighten up and we execute better and hopefully that leads to a W.
