I use to listen to Dan Patrick because his show was on TV when I would get ready in the mornings. His show stopped being carried by my local provider and PFT with Florio took the spot/channel. I listen to him and Simms (don’t like either) out of carry over habit from the DP show, but honestly can’t stand either one. occasionally I will turn on the NFL network in the AM for their
show (Goof morning football I think). Other than that, Rich Eisen is about the only guy I enjoy.

I did listen to a snippet of a Rich Eisen podcast and he gave the Saints props. Said it was the most impressive win from the weekend. So there are a few smart ones in the national media 😀

I wouldn’t call leaving us out of the top 10 much of a stretch honestly. It was one game and there are still a ton of question marks in regards to our receivers and CB’s. Harris is situational, Calloway is an unknown, and both have been injured in limited use. Outside of Lattimore we have a rookie who had one good game, an injury prone has been, and Roby who’s positive but depth is a concern. There’s no way Green Bay is as bad as they looked Sunday night. Unless you are very familiar with our team like most of us are I can see where we look pretty dismal from the outside looking in. I prefer to be the underdog and I think the team does too.
I believe in Winston but I would like to see him in a situation where we are down two scores and he has to shoulder the load. We won’t have the luxury of being three scores ahead very often.
I would love to see Winston bring us back when we are down.

Personally I'd rather not see us in the position of being down two scores. Not that I have any doubts, but winning in the fashion we did against Green Bay is preferable.

Pete Prisco, who has always been a bit of a Saints hater, has the Saints at #6 in his weekly power rankings. That doesn't sound too dismal.

6

SAINTS They had the most impressive victory of the weekend in blowing out the Packers. The defense was truly impressive in limiting Aaron Rodgers.

Agreed, except I'd be fine never seeing the Saints fall behind the opponent on the scoreboard.

It's best to fly under the radar as long as we can and stay humble. Remember the Coach's grounding pranks he used to pull.

Look at the Milwaukee Bucks. They won the championship but now it seems like no one is paying attention to them and everyone is focused on the Nets, Lakers, Sixers and Warriors.

I'd rather be the Bucks than the Nets. Let the other teams be the popular ones, the media darlings, we'll just worry about being the world champs.

But if we’re being honest, the Bucks are at home if not for the injuries to Harden and Kyrie Irving at crucial times during the playoffs. Two superstars. Durant was great but couldn’t carry the Nets by himself.

In any sport, you have to be good & a bit lucky with injuries .. especially down the stretch.
