I realize it’s not his fault, but the picks given up do bug me. The two first rounders could have been traded for say two third rounders each. Pair that with the additional third given to trade up and that’s 5 third rounders that could have been used to try and replace the production Davenport had shown so far.

I don’t dislike the player. I don’t dislike his game. If he’d have stayed even somewhat healthy he would have warranted a 14th overall pick. But a heck of a lot more than a 14th was spent on him and he’s spent a heck a lot of time on the injured list.

It’s not water under the bridge because the player is not available for the game tomorrow. Can’t for the life of me figure out why you come down on someone expressing an opinion. F-off.

They did not give up two first rounders and a third for Davenport

They swapped a lower number first round 2018 pick for a higher numbered one
Then gave Green Bay a higher number 2019 first round pick
They also gave Green Bay a 3rd round pick.

Essentially they took a much desired player
Ended up giving up a third and a late first round pick

Marcus looked good against Green Bay
Lets hope he has the drive to thrive

Yes it is water under the bridge. It makes no difference whether they used eight 1st rounders on him or if he was a UDFA. The fact that he can't play this week has nothing to do with when he was acquired. Right?

I think you missed my point. Coaches and GMs could care less if you are a former 1st rounder, acquired free agent or undrafted player. If you are missing games, you can’t help the team.
