Time to Take it Out on the Patriots

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; https://www.nfl.com/games/saints-at-patriots-2021-reg-3 I won't pretend that I know anything about the Patriots at this point other than they have arguably the best NFL head coach ever and a rising star at QB. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/p...hock-seahawks/ New Orleans Saints at New England Patriots (-3) ...

New Orleans Saints at New England Patriots (-3)

Latest Odds: New England Patriots -3

The Saints looked bad in losing at Carolina and technically are playing a third road game in a row since they played their first home game in Jacksonville. They looked flat in losing to the Panthers last week, and now face a tough challenge on the road against the Patriots. New England's defense is playing well and will again here against Jameis Winston to get the victory.
Pick: Pats 23, Saints 16

Saints (1-1) at Patriots (1-1)

Opening line: Patriots -2.5
After upsetting the Packers in Week 1, the Saints had a clunker against the Panthers. New Orleans was shut out for the first three quarters and managed just one touchdown for the game in their 26-7 loss to Carolina. They'll now face a Patriots team fresh off their first win of the year over the Jets. New England was able to pick off rookie Zach Wilson four times on the day, but those turnovers were more on the young quarterback rather than this defense truly forcing them. The Patriots were also outpaced by the Jets in total yards of offense, time of possession, and first downs, so New Orleans may be a strong play especially if this gets above a field goal spread.

Re: Time to Take it Out on the Patriots

Any chance we get McKoy back for this one? IMO not having him at center vs the Panthers was HUGE. I think our defense will be fine.

Hopefully, we get Latt & Ceedy back as well.

Historically we have not performed well vs rookie (Mac Jones) QBs. Maybe things will be different this time around.

Re: Time to Take it Out on the Patriots

So the Patriots lost to the Dolphins and rolled over the Jets so far.
We have to contain Damien Harris early or he'll run us silly. And as K Major said we cant give the rookie QB Mac the Knife time to breakout at our expense.

Re: Time to Take it Out on the Patriots

I’ll be screaming my throat sore while I’m there watching the game. That’s about all I can do. I will make gumbo for the tailgate party I’m attending (that was a condition of me getting the tickets).

I’ll say I feel better about this game than I did before the Panthers game. Although the score of the Pats/Jets game wasn’t that close, it was closer than it appeared. A play or two here are there and the Jets could have...stayed close.

I believe that this team has some frustrations that they would love to take out on the Patriots. On a side note Belicheck is a known cheater and I despise cheaters.
