Re: LB Jaylon Smith.... should we?
Great guy but he's never been the same since the unfortunate injury in that bowl game while at Notre Dame. He has become a liability in the run game the last couple of seasons.
Leighton Van Der Esch could be released in a year or so as well. Parsons & Jabril Cox are already bright spots & fits Dan Quinn's scheme. |

I like Davis, Werner, Kwon, Baun and the rest of our young LB'ers. Bring in a wide receiver instead.

Re: LB Jaylon Smith.... should we?
Gilmore now available. Rather him. Our offense isn’t just one player away from being one of the leagues best, our defense is.

I like what we have at LB, and Gilmore is headed to the Panthers.

Re: LB Jaylon Smith.... should we?
I just read that he is suspect in coverage. We already have Baun in that role. Werner looked good when I've seen him play. He's probably the future. A second round draft pick should have all the tangibles and most of the intangibles and he looks like he's been well coached and I hear he's smart. That looks like a kid with a bright future in New Orleans.

Re: LB Jaylon Smith.... should we?
If Smith was the same player that gave Drew fits in that low scoring game we loss to Dallas, Yes. But he’s not.
