Taysom Hill Concussion(s)
With this being his second bad concussion in as many as two years, is there a chance this is a life altering event where he has to make a decision going forward? While we enjoy his play as a gadget player, his style of play lends itself to be susceptible to this occurring yet again. I doubt he plays this Sunday. |
Re: Taysom Hill Concussion(s)
It’s been 18 days and he still hasn’t returned to practice. Very concerning.

Re: Taysom Hill Concussion(s)
It was a nasty one. I'm trying to remember the longest I recall a player needing to recover from a concussion. It seems like a few years back there was a baseball player that needed 40+ days.

It will take as long as it takes!
Just want him healthy and back on the field ASAP, but only when he's fully fit! Here's wishing you a speedy recovery Taysom! |

The Clown commish and the "shield" talk a mean game on player safety, yet didn't even fine the WFT player. Guess they are more concerned about handing out fines for taunting . A defenseless player falling to the ground, really no need for that at the end. I'm hopeful Taysom is sitting out of practice today as a precaution. |

Austin Collie his career too! Collie talked in depth of his abbreviated NFL career – he spent the 2013 season with the New England Patriots – and his family, which has settled in Utah, while taking a break from his new vocation. He’s working with CognitiveFX, an ahead-of-the-curve facility located in Provo, Utah that deals with the treatment of brain injuries. Collie first visited CognitiveFX after he suffered a pair of chilling and highly-publicized concussions in 2010 – one at Philadelphia and the other against Jacksonville. |
Re: Taysom Hill Concussion(s)
If I remember correctly, Steve Young finally called it quits because of concussions as well.

Re: Taysom Hill Concussion(s)
Might be wise for Taysom to shut it down for the rest of the year and decide after the season to continue or not.

Washington’s William Jackson III avoids expulsion for a headshot that injured Taysom Hill
Remind me to shed a tear for Jackson when Karma catches up to him. |

Troy Aikman believes he suffered between six and eight concussions in his career with the Dallas Cowboys After the 1994 NFCCG VS THE 49er's in which he was concussed and left the game. “He looked at me and he said, ‘Leigh, where am I?’ And I said, ‘Well, you’re in the hospital.’ And he said, ‘Well, why am I here?’ And I said, ‘because you suffered a concussion today.’ And he said, ‘Well, who did we play?’ And I said, ‘The 49ers.’ And he said, ‘Did we win?’ ‘Yes, you won.’ ‘Did I play well?’ ‘Yes, you played well.’ ‘And so what’s that mean?’ ‘It means you’re going to the Super Bowl.’ “ |

Taysom is a TOUGH SOB but IDK …. I’d have to have a serious discussion with the wife and family after this. Concussions and CTE is real. It may be time to start thinking about life after football. Long term health and quality of life is more important. |
