Taysom Hill Concussion(s)

With this being his second bad concussion in as many as two years, is there a chance this is a life altering event where he has to make a decision going forward? While we enjoy his play as a gadget player, his style of play lends itself to be susceptible to this occurring yet again. I doubt he plays this Sunday.

It’s been 18 days and he still hasn’t returned to practice. Very concerning.

It was a nasty one. I'm trying to remember the longest I recall a player needing to recover from a concussion. It seems like a few years back there was a baseball player that needed 40+ days.

It will take as long as it takes!

Just want him healthy and back on the field ASAP, but only when he's fully fit!

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery Taysom!

A cheap shot.

The Clown commish and the "shield" talk a mean game on player safety, yet didn't even fine the WFT player. Guess they are more concerned about handing out fines for taunting .

A defenseless player falling to the ground, really no need for that at the end.

I'm hopeful Taysom is sitting out of practice today as a precaution.

Coby Fleener 2018 The concussion suffered by former New Orleans Saints tight end Coby Fleener in a game against the Los Angeles Rams last season has yet to get better. Fleener, who was released by the Saints in May following a failed physical, continues to deal with symptoms stemming from his injury on a daily basis. But although he has proven to be frustratingly concussion-prone during his football career, he hopes that he will have another opportunity to play at football's highest level.

Austin Collie his career too!

Collie talked in depth of his abbreviated NFL career – he spent the 2013 season with the New England Patriots – and his family, which has settled in Utah, while taking a break from his new vocation. He’s working with CognitiveFX, an ahead-of-the-curve facility located in Provo, Utah that deals with the treatment of brain injuries.

Collie first visited CognitiveFX after he suffered a pair of chilling and highly-publicized concussions in 2010 – one at Philadelphia and the other against Jacksonville.

"Your worst enemy, he reflected, was your own nervous system. At any moment the tension inside you was liable to translate itself into some visible symptom." Winston Smith

If I remember correctly, Steve Young finally called it quits because of concussions as well.

Might be wise for Taysom to shut it down for the rest of the year and decide after the season to continue or not.
