Unable to find a trade partner to take wide receiver DeSean Jackson before the NFL's Tuesday trade deadline, the Los Angeles Rams have waived the veteran receiver, the team announced.

Last week, the club and Jackson mutually agreed to seek a trade. In a social media post bidding farewell to Rams fans, Jackson made it clear he doesn't see this as the end of his career.

If he clears waivers... why not kick the tires?

He doesn't have to clear waivers since he was released.

DJ can sign anywhere he wants but will it be in New Orleans?

Sorry folks, even with the new breaking news about Michael Thomas, I don't want Desean Jackson ever wearing a Saints uniform.

Because it’s after the trade deadline, any veteran player released is put on waivers. Jackson will find out his new team in a couple of hours.

Go for it. Need to get him the ball in space since we now have lost our ability to stretch the defense by throwing deep.

What’s your main beef/reluctance Matt? Genuinely curious. I don’t remember him being a choir boy, but did he do something drastic I’m forgetting?

BTW, his contract is over 2 million dollars. So, if the Saints could claim him, he is owed more than they have left on the cap.

It pretty much goes back to when he was with Philly and started making a lot of those "business decision" type of plays, and he seems to whine very often. It was when he played with Philly I learned what alligator arms meant... lol

Fair enough. There are a lot of guys who have done a lot of bad things in the league. It’s a spectrum. If asked, I would not have wanted Winston based on his college and early NFL antics. Now I’m upset he’s not able to play for the team. Just something to think about.
