If you’re going to call yourself an elite defense you can’t close a game out the way they did.

leilung 11-07-2021 03:07 PM

Re: Falcons @ Saints Game Day Thread

Once again...a late drive deep shot over our defenders.

You would think after Minneapolis this would NEVER happen again.

Re: Falcons @ Saints Game Day Thread

Dennis Allen needs to go.

He got lucky last week with PJ, his defense sucks, week in and week out.

Rsanders24 11-07-2021 03:08 PM

Re: Falcons @ Saints Game Day Thread

That had to be the dumbest defensive call on 1st down.

Re: Falcons @ Saints Game Day Thread

Drops Oline Dennis Allen Playcalling lost us this game. Giving up chunk plays like that in those situations are UNACCEPTABLE.

Re: Falcons @ Saints Game Day Thread

Frustrating this team took 3 quarters before they finally showed up. Unfortunately, the Saints defense did what we’ve seen so many times at the end of games though

Re: Falcons @ Saints Game Day Thread

I wasn’t looking at the screen when Adebo got caught on, so I’m wondering what the coverage was and how Patterson got behind him.

JUST TURRIBLE.

Rell&Gold 11-07-2021 03:16 PM

Re: Falcons @ Saints Game Day Thread

You can say what you want about the offense they gave us a opportunity defense CAN NOT give up plays like that NO EXCUSES TEAM CAME OUT SLUGGISH LIKE THEY DONT HAVE TO PLAY THE GAME. UNTIL THEY GET OFF SUICIDE WATCH THIS TEAM IS THE 2013-2016 Saints all over again

Adebo stopped running, got beat on a double move.

In these situations, I would prefer a vet on vet.

I would have probably been in Cover 4 to be honest. Make em go underneath and hopefully use timeouts.

Re: Falcons @ Saints Game Day Thread

Pass 2 weeks Saints defense has came back down to Earth when that happens the Offense has to step up and they did better late than never but the defense late adjustments and crossing routes and free releases..Does DA not in game adjustments?

Looked like two deep man and we rushed four.

Ah, so not only did Adebo get beat but Williams was late over the top.

Re: Falcons @ Saints Game Day Thread

Why SP? Do you put this game on him?

dizzle88 11-07-2021 03:20 PM

Re: Falcons @ Saints Game Day Thread

Defense blowing deep coverage whilst only rushing 4 defenders, DA needs to go.

Falcons had four receivers on route. Not only was Williams late, he didn't even head in that direction until after Patterson had the ball. At least he caught him. But I guess it would have been better if he scored a TD, honestly.

I was thinking just let him score as well.

Exactly. Dumb coverage..man with a single high safety. You cannot give up a big play like that. You knew that if they were going to take a shot they were going to do it on 1st down.

Rsanders24 11-07-2021 03:47 PM

Re: Falcons @ Saints Game Day Thread

I hope it was man cover 2 or robber. Jenkins was the safety on that side and came up as well. So either Jenkins messed up or he was playing a robber position. No way that Williams was going to get there.

Sinner 11-07-2021 03:51 PM

Re: Falcons @ Saints Game Day Thread

All else aside, and that's some ugly stuff, don't allow that big play to happen in the last minute, and you get an ugly win today. Unreal.
