Minnihaha Miracle Revisited

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; YouTube (Short URL) YouTube (Short URL) I never really analyzed the play like this person did. But after looking at this analysis, it sure looks awfully suspicious. What say you?...

Nope. Thinking things are rigged is an excuse. A poor one at that. Things happen in the NFL. They always have. It takes a lot of luck to win it all in the NFL. Hell, the best teams can lose on any given week with a bad break here or there. It's the nature of the beast.

absolutely. It’s right there in front of everyone’s face. Some just refuse to see.

I'm with you on this Guido. It sucks, but a rookie made a bad play, it happens. We lost. Time to move on.

First play was not PI as we know. What was it? Masterful by the Minny player, who clearly grabbed the defender's wrist to "hold him there"...and then fell. Dude never made an attempt to catch it. Its like playing in the paint. We didn't get the call. This is why I loathed Tony Gonzales. He was the master, and boy could he whine and tantrum to carry the ruse...

And yes, PI should be reviewable. Spot fouls are BS.

I think Williams just made a mistake. I think he was afraid of a PI call. He was clearly trying to get out of the way, not to make a play on the WR. Maybe his brain froze. It's unfortunate, but I don't see it as a conspiracy.

The Rams game? That call? Nobody will ever convince me the fix wasn't in there. It could be that the defender was taught hey, when you're busted, you might as well carry on with it. That's what the defender would have us believe with his interpretation as I remember it. Could be true. Remember that was a no call right in front of the ref who clearly saw it. Oh yes the fix was in.

Looking right at it...

The psychological term is paranoia. The world, or in this case the league, is out to get you. Sorry. I don't buy into that crap.

Not a fix. Horrible no call for sure. The guy just totally ****ed it up. A fix is premeditated. That was not premeditated.

The word is logical. I know you are all into conspiracies and such. Sorry, but I'm not. I live in the real world. The one that isn't always out to get me.
