QB observations
I’m being fed the Falcons game up here and it’s got me thinking. Brady looks good and can still perform physically. Not surprising from a HOF like him. But he’s got a lot of help from O line, refs, and skill position players.
But it shows how bad Ryan looks. I know that’s not a surprise, but hear me out. Wilson in Seattle was supposed to build a dynasty up there. Yet I watched their game last week and he looked lost even with good WRs. Again, Ryan looks crappy, but he has looked good in the past prime years (I know I’ll catch **** for that statement), and when you consider guys like Wilson and Rogers (only won 1 SB) one can wonder if there can’t be that much difference between them and say Cousins, Carr, Murray, Mahomes etc. It makes you wonder where Hill, Winston, and Book fit into the landscape with what may be available via trade or free agency. Just a thought. |

Re: QB observations
I've always said "our next QB is already playing in the NFL".
We get Jameis. Then it went off the rails. The way Payton runs his offense, I'm thinking we need a top flight FA or a top 10 draft pick. |

Re: QB observations
I guess the big question is will Jameis ever make it back. Sean's original game plan was working with Jameis or so it seemed.
But when the first mate went into sick bay the ship went aground pretty quick. |

Re: QB observations
With the recent news with Ben R, wouldn't surprise me to see Winston land in Pittsburgh. He'd have more weapons at WR that's for sure.
Saints could be the Ian Book &/or Taysom Hill show in 2022. |

Re: QB observations
How many "starters" from Thursday won't even be on a NFL roster next year?
At least we're finding out who can play. |

Re: QB observations
If Jameis walks Russ or Rodgers doesn't come Saints go after Teddy that doesn't work Saints draft a QB; if we lose to the Jets boy oh boy...Taysoms next couple games decides his fate with the Saints

Re: QB observations
I believe the 2022 Saints QB situation will be about the same. Winston will likely be brought back as the starter, Hill will do his usual thing, and Book will get another year. The only real question to me, is Book ready to assume a primary backup roll? If the answer is yes then the Saints do not bring back Siemian, if no then the Saints bring back Siemian and carry 4 QBs again.
