Will Payton hold out players not quite ready to make sure they are ready for the final three games? One of the topics today was the record of the #7 seed in the NFC. They seemed to think 8-9 might be all it takes. Three of our last four puts us at 9-8 and likely all it would take. That said, I want to beat the Bucs again badly.

We've got more tiebreakers working against us with teams with similar record than working for us - we've got to win out to make the Tournament...

Yes, we have tiebreakers working against us with some, but not all. Most of those with the tiebreaker advantage will be hard pressed to win 8 games, however. Two of those teams (Carolina and Atlanta) will lose the advantage when we beat them. The Eagles and Redskins have two games against each other and both have to face the Cowboys again. The 49ers have games against the Falcons, Titans, and Rams. The Falcons also have to face the Bills. Carolina has two games left with the Bucs and one with the Bills.

Winning the last four should definitely put us in the playoffs, but 3 of 4 still gives us a pretty good chance.
