Your future Saints QB

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; It is done. I have a hard rule against giving the NFL any money, but in a moment of weakness and inspiration, it was done. And my old Reggie Bush jersey is getting pretty ragged anyway. Personally, 100 times out ...

Personally, 100 times out of 100, I'd rather be early to the party than late to the bandwagon. Let's see what the kid can do, whenever the time may come. I wish we could see him sooner, but it's Payton's call and the more coaching he can get from this staff the better. He should be worth the wait.

Re: Your future Saints QB

Listening to the Mike Detillier show tonight, he seems confident the Saints are going after another vet QB this offseason.

Derek Carr, Wilson (probably a pipe dream), or even Jimmy G.

Don't think CSP is ready for the Ian Book show anytime soon & definitely not this season.

The fact that he wasn't suiting up even during injuries at times is concerning.

As much as a vet QB would be great the numbers will be astronomic. I'd rather see Winston back if the numbers are agreeable and draft one if a player is there. Especially if that allows them to keep Armstead and Williams

It's a redshirt year for him. But the potential is there, for sure. SP got that little known QB out of Northen Illinois, now an NFL commentator, for nothing, and developed him into a pro-bowler. SP has yet to spend the big draft capital on QBs... maybe the dollars once proven, but not draft picks.

It's some huge percentage of all college QB's that make it onto an NFL roster never start a regular season game. There's some schools of thought that signing a rookie QB every year is a way to go based upon those odds. Maybe Book eventually bucks those odds. We'll see one way or another eventually.

Looks like Book will be in uniform Monday if Siemian doesn't clear by then.

Even if Trevor ^^ is healthy, he should be in street clothes.

He can’t help you win games.

Continue to prepare & study Ian !

Shared on the Roster Outlook thread, Taysom is going on the C19 reserve list, and Book will be your starter...
