Saints - Dolphins post game thread

The offensive line was awful. Book was running for his life most of the game. Apologies to AK on that penalty. I thought he was being stupid and pushed that Dolphins player. I found out this morning that that POS grabbed his towel from his waist band and walked off with it. Brutal game. I felt bad for Book most of the game. Lol |

He did the best he could in an impossible situation. Book was behind what looked like one of the AAFL O lines.

It’s really hard to be critical on the last night’s game based on the circumstances. If we are being honest, the Saints weren’t on fair level playing field. 16 quality players out? Cmon man.
Shame on the league for allowing this game to be played. |

Agreed... Plenty of chapters left to publish on Book. Since we can't do any worse, I say let the kid play and get in some snaps.
Our team is what it shows it is ... And that's part of the post Brees era. Let the rooks play as much as possible and evaluate them all. | |

Re: Saints - Dolphins post game thread
Not too much to glean from the game last night. With so many pieces missing it is an anomaly.
A description that someone mentioned of Book a couple of days ago fit well ... skittish. I realize he didn't have much time due to the makeshift offensive line, but not only didn't I see him advance past the first read, he also appeared to leave the pocket before making a read at all on occasion. We had receivers open all night, but ball was seldom delivered more than two yards downfield. Even though shorthanded somewhat the defense really looked good again. I was surprised the special teams did as well as they did with so many players missing. Dolphin fans were far less obnoxious than most other visiting fans this season. |
