We should all be so lucky. Cruising the country in a deluxe bus eating and drinking and talking about football. Truly a dream job up there with being a photographer for Penthouse.

Was the absolute best at what he did. I miss he and Pat Summerall. They were awesome. John would draw all over the screen and everything was "boom!" And "whack!" And "bam!"

RIP John. A true legend as a coach and sportscaster.

The man almost single handedly brought football into main stream. Think about all the video games that had his name and voice. Anyone under 30 likely learned the basics of football by playing “his” game put out by EA sports under so many gaming platforms. It ranks up there with TECMO Bowl!

Lol, so true. His comments were golden on the play-by-play broadcasts.

Genius commentator as well as a coaching legend.
