I think it was Parcells or Bill Walsh who said it best …

“When you pack a defense and special teams, you’ll always have a chance of winning”. Saints have both.

Did anyone catch my guy Blake G on one of his punts? That football looked like it traveled damn near 60 yards in the air with a back spin at the end.

He’s nasty.

I wonder how he is with a pitching wedge.

I just want that 30% chance of making the playoffs, just so I can keep on watching this defense. I couldn't really care less about the offense at this point. But this old man looks at this 2021 defense and remembers the Dome Patrol years, where field position and field goals could win the game, just from the defense alone. I want the playoffs, because I want to keep watching these defensive guys play one more time against somebody good. Period. Or once you get in, who knows. Favre could go down with a knee or something.

If those players come back, we're essentially at full strength on the O line for the first time in WEEKS.

While I don't expect a 180, I would imagine Taysom gets more time to survey the field and maybe use his legs.

I think most, if not all of us, DO know the current situation on offense. At full strength it’s a good O-line, great RBs, subpar WRs, and Tim Tebow 2.0 at QB.

- Kamara is a superstar
- This defense is stellar. Kwon and Demario are great together. Cam can still turn it on, and Davenport is a force when healthy. All the other guys on the D line do their job and bring it when necessary.

Got to say, I don't see it.

AK has been largely disappointing this year. Likely due to a poor O line, but I think this year will be his worst since entering the league.

At one point he had 12 carries for 0 yards, then rips a 30 yard run off. He was missing holes and running into blockers, the announcers made note of it twice.

In addition to our poor O-line AK injured his knee and tweaked his hamstring in the Atlanta game.
Up till then AK was over used for the most part. Unfortunately we have not seen a 100pct AK.

With all due respect we all thought your guy was Jake Verity.
But seriously Blake Gillikin the pride of Penn State is one serious punter.

This seemed like the best place to post this question. Apologies in advance for the somewhat trivial nature. Does anyone know if Brett Maher where’s number 19 in honor of Tom Dempsey?

I haven’t known many kickers (if any) other kickers to wear that number.

I have been meaning to ask that question since he was signed, since I wear my Dempsey jersey regularly for games.

I think he's pretty much always worn #2 in the NFL. My guess is that #19 was the only number available with the Saints. Jameis Winston already had Maher's #2.
