Fun thought but don’t think it can happen. He’d have to clear wavers first I believe.

He's a year closer to the Hall of Fame. He won't be coming back. It's hard to digest but Drew is really gone.

He had that shoulder repaired again. I injured my shoulder last year and let me tell you, it was ugly. Took 10 months to heal. Don't think the Doctors told him to go out and play again. Pretty sure it could be serious reprocussions if he injures it again.

Besides, who is practicing catching the ball??

Ramchyk and Armstead have been injured all year. Unless they got body replacements, we have a thin line on the o-line between being great and making Taysom Hill run around for his life.

Here's something to think about that's actually somewhat believable;
~ Rams beat the 49er's & Saints beat Atlanta (the latter being the more difficult task since the clowns have nothing to lose and will play risky, like going for it on 4th down & throwing deep, etc.).
~ Saints get the #7 spot and play the #2 Rams. Saints defense shuts Stafford down & keeps it a low scoring game while Taysom & company score enough points to win. Boom. Off to the next round.
~ then Saints travel to Lambeau to play Green Bay. Saints already beat the crap out of GB in week 3. Also, Lambeau field in January could be an icebowl. We get our O-line back and win a trench warfare slugfest with GB.
Next!
~ Saints then play the tired & ageing Tom Brady for the NFC crown. The frustrated Tom Brady looking for revenge on the Saints gets greedy & chokes, again.
~ Saints travel to Inglewood, CA to face the Titans and Goodell's hand-picked officiating crew.

Unbelievable? OK. But it's more believable than Drew Brees coming in to save the day. That ain't happening.

With the way our defense is playing and our offense being very suspect and centered around Taysom's mobility, it's actually best for us to play on the road and preferably in crappy weather. Who knows?

That's exactly where I'm at. Who knows? It's not gonna be Drew who saves the day, though. I just want an excuse to keep watching this amazing defense play; if they playoffs gives us one or two more games to watch them in action, I'll be super happy.

Rumor time. Ok. O- line starts playing, Book gets the nod at qb which frees up Hill to play his joker roll, Payton digs his heels in to the run game with play action with lots of roll outs( mobile qb) opening up the wr's to the mid level and in. They now are able to score 25 ppg. On the D. They have to play lights out every game to get us to the big game. Book want have to do nothing but manage the game.
