The Saints quarterback suffered a foot injury Sunday against the Falcons.

Who knew, I thought it was a head shot that took him out of the game, poor Taysom. If he's going to keep being a "running QB" then I hope he becomes more of a Russell Wilson type (only running when necessary, and then protecting himself.)

Saints coach Sean Payton said on Monday that quarterback Taysom Hill is expected to have foot surgery after sustaining a Lisfranc injury in a season-ending win over the Falcons.

I know none of these injuries have been considered "severe", but there comes a time when a man has to take his health into consideration.

All those injuries know will come back to haunt him as he gets older. Take that from a guy past 50.

I think the more he plays the less he'll run because the better passer he will become. I would actually like to see him get another shot at the 1qb in camp.

It will be interesting to see what happens with JW. If we bring him back, then (IMO) probably not another competition. Honestly if all of our QB's had the full protection of an O-line we fielded yesterday, this question would be murkier.

And this is the key. It’s not a coincidence that all of a sudden both Qb’s looked like actual Qb’s and Kamara blew up for 150 yards. Ram is that important.
Still think Qb needs to be top priority.

I still believe Winston can get it done. He was 5-2 as a starter (including one loss to Giants that was on the D/special teams) and was a 13-2 TD int ratio I think it was. Give him a WR and a and a TE to throw to and the O will be
more than set.

-No one survives playing QB in the NFL as a running back. Hill is the biggest and strongest and he didn't make it out of his ninth start. It's great to have the ability to run, make plays, and move the chains. But, you have to slide or run out of bounds. There's a reason why RB's have the shortest careers. The make contact with some of the biggest, strongest, fastest, meanest people on the planet on almost every play. Hill can be a QB. He just has to do it differently and smarter than he has so far
