So he is some kind of assistant GM who doesnt know personnel but helps out with the cap. The result of his help is that we didnt make the playoffs and we are still the most over the cap of any team in the nfl by far. If Jaguars and Lions assistants are not getting calls for head coaching jobs, it kind of makes sense that the team that is last in salary cap with nothing to show for it is not getting their front office assistants called for gm jobs.

During a conversation this spring about the Saints’ salary cap maneuvering, one league source said off-hand, “Hype up Khai. Khai is unbelievable. His knowledge is the most in-depth I've seen of any cap guy."

Was the league source Peat’s agent or Hill’s agent? It is unbelievable how much future money we have been able to spend on loyalty to oft injured local legends. But I dont see how being the best at mortgaging the future is any better than being the best at lighting a crack pipe. We need a cap guy who is the best at balancing the budget to reduce dead money and allowing us to pursue depth at positions such as wide receiver.

The budget is balanced every year. That is mandatory. And it takes advantage of basic cost and management accounting principles of current and future values. That has helped lead the Saints to five straight winning seasons, including the second best record by far in the NFL over that five year stretch. And there's every reason to expect another year making a run for the playoffs in 2022.

Perhaps you could elaborate more on the "cost and management accounting principles of current and future values" as it relates to an NFL roster and the salary cap then?

Bah hahaha. C'mon little :censored: Give the classroom your report on what goes on in the Saints accounting room...

Tick, tick, tick...

Its helped increase the capacity of the superdome by 5 by letting 5 regular guys like you and me start at wide receiver in the nfl. The fact is that when we lead the league in dollars over the cap every offseason and have to work miracles to balance the budget that involve a cycle of us leading the league again the next year, we put ourselves on the defensive in the offseason just trying to plug holes in the ship while our competitors are improving thenselves. We had a winning season but missed the playoffs. Cincy took our best pass rusher and made the playoffs. Buffalo took our best receiver and made the playoffs. I would hate if we lost our best personnel man because we had to keep the guys who are an expert in cutting lines at the payday loan window.

Vehemently disagree. I don't care about skin color, gender, religious beliefs or anything else. Is the person the right fit?

Isn't that exactly what is good about this news?

We lost the best WR in the league to injury and still had a winning season with those "5 regular guys", while starting an NFL record 58 different players due to additional injuries and COVID, and let's not forget being displaced for a month by Hurrcane Ida. Let's put things in perspective.

Or block me if you'd rather. I don't mind. Guido is going to stop harassing other posters here or he's going to leave. I don't care which one, but I'm on his ass until then. Bet on it.

Fine saints fan. Life is just too short to listen to other people bicker and argue. Don't you get enough at home? Just kidding.

Why don't you just block Guido instead of me blocking you? I hate to block you because I really like what you have to say. You're very well informed. Maybe Halo should start a bickering site. lol

BEST OR MOST EXPENSIVE?

Cincy took our best pass rusher and made the playoffs. Buffalo took our best receiver and made the playoffs.

Fair enough.

Many months ago Guido was attacking "The Dude". I stepped in a forced him to stop, at which time he sent me his infamous "you know, we have a lot in common" bull**** PM. He then apologized. Not long after he went after "Boston Saint". I stepped in. He publicly apologized to Boston Saint...and then attacked him again two days later over the same subject, across threads.

These are just two recent incidents. There have been many MANY others. For a very long time I just let it be...let other people handle him. Most of us here are grown people.

Then he started attacking me, and I warned him then to stop. He did not. I sent him PMs, etc, and attempted to be diplomatic. It became clear as crystal this idiot either can not or will not stop. He just...can't.

So I told him to cease or deal with me trolling him at every turn. He chose to deal with me. That's how we got here.

Ask around. Guido has run people off from this board. Good people. He has attacked well-respected members here. They'll share their stories if you ask I'm sure.

So, I have had enough. The best way to stop this fool is to give it back to him in magnitudes. Rather than Guido roaming this board picking fights with people, I shut him down. All the 'fighting' is now between he and I...and that's fine. That's a little bit of progress.

I've been posting here for 20 freaking years. I've seen *******s come and go, but this guy is the worst of the worst.

He's still doing it you know? Playing the victim, telling other people here he just can't understand what's going on. He knows precisely what's going on. No shame here. I'm an extremely easy-going guy, but not after I'm pissed.

I'm pissed. He'll stop, leave on his own, or be shown the door. I'm down with either option, but he will stop.

So, just scroll on by. Pay no attention. This is worth doing for the greater good.

My heritage originated in Scotland, as well. Migrated to Ireland several centuries ago.

Not too long ago, people were banned from this site for less than what Guido gets away with. A person shouldn't call others on this site terrible names or accuse them of awful things and not be held to account.
I've stated many times that this is my favorite place to go to on the internet and this guy is an instigator and an agitator.
