I think it is amazing how much Jameis appears to have matured since joining the Saints.

I guess the real question is what's the best strategy? Let's say MT13 is at 85% by gametime. Does it make sense to roll him out against the FailClowns as opposed to giving him another week to get closer to 100% against the Succs where he'd really be needed.

Sometimes I think we forget how long a 17-20 game season actually is. While I understand everyone hungers to see the guy back on the field, is it smart to pull the trigger when he's less than 100%? Especially considering how deep the receiver room is now with everyone else at full strength.

The team has been extremely conservative this offseason with injuries. I have a feeling that our new "director of sports science", Dr. Matt Rhea, has something to do with that. I don't think they'll bring anyone back before they are ready.

Facts.

The NFL is an absolute GRIND & I think Allen plays Chess, not checkers.

Get him a few snaps.

Gauge his "progress" (sorry, had to) and go from there.

If you go back and listen to his press interview where he talks about his time with the Raiders, etc… he is pretty adamant that he’s a checker player and doesn’t look down the road. That said, he also strikes me as someone that knows what he doesn’t know and leans on those that do. He can play checkers safely if he listens to his chess players.
