Re: 2022 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
We're gonna have to turn to someone. For all the hate he's getting, Hill is all we've got. Or Book. I fear that with Jameis it's either going to be that risky guy who lights it up but is too error prone, or the 'controlled' version which, frankly, was painful to watch.

Re: 2022 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Some other options at QB if we are not able to retain Winston.
Tyler Huntley. He declined a lot in his last two starts those were against Aaron Donald and TJ Watt. He has upside at least. He might be available for a 2nd round pick or so, and his cap number is nothing. Jared Goff. If the Lions get another QB or decide to rebuild or draft one, Goff could be cut and could sign for a league minimum type salary. Not sure but perhaps it would be a situation where Goff is still owed money by the Lions and any dollar he gets elsewhere is offset out of that so he may have no incentive to seek a high salary. I believe Goff is a better QB than Hill, Book, or Bortles and could win with a great defense like a Trent Dilfer. Is Jimmy Garrapalo like slightly better? Sure. But do I want to trade a pick, pay $20 million, and accept 5 weeks per season on the IR for 10% better? Pass. |

If the Texans are really interested in Ruiz, I'd move him now for a draft pick and use that to get a true guard... |

I hope we go switch it up and go WR in the 1st. I've seen a ton of maulers, big uglies selected in the mid rounds and go on to become solid pros for years. IMO Peat & Ruiz were reaches as #1s. |
