I hope we go switch it up and go WR in the 1st. I've seen a ton of maulers, big uglies selected in the mid rounds and go on to become solid pros for years. IMO Peat & Ruiz were reaches as #1s.
Yep. Boffum.

I doubt they move on from him. We do need a Peat replacement and a Armstead replacement more than a Ruiz replacement.

Yeah. Strief said in an interview after the season that they were still very high on Ruiz who he described as very talented and works his butt off, but didn't improve enough in season two. We mustn't forget that Ruiz was changing positions and had no meaningful offseason at all his rookie year and played virtually every game his second year without either, or both, of the outstanding starters to his left and right due to all the time that McCoy and Ramczyk missed. Another plus is he isn't made of glass like Armstead and Peat with Ruiz being the only starter to play every snap of the season.

I'm curious to see what he does with Doug Marrone leading the group.

I could have sworn Peat missed some time this past season.

If Ruiz could make a leap, which is not impossible to see happen, it could go a long way in creating a really solid right side of the line.

LT (2) 71 - Ryan Ramcyzk, 73 - Ethan Greenidge (RFA 2022) *Re-Signed

^^ You are certain on this JP?

For what it's worth, I heard on Underhill's podcast (last night) touch on this very subject. He seems to believe that Ramz will remain on the right side.

Guess we'll wait and see what Dougie M does inside those trenches.

When Ramczyk got his contract extension there was a lot of language and incentives added that were tied to him playing Left Tackle...

Don't shoot the messenger .

Listen at Underhill's angle in that video clip I posted. Ultimately Dougie M & the O line brain trust will make the decision on where Ramz plays in 2022.
