I'd feel better if we brought back P.J. Williams...
Papz made a good point about Marcus Maye having a serious injury type, Achilles Tear, and if he'd regain full range - another medical gamble by the Saints... But Maye was used as a Free Safety, not as a Strong Safety, and was rarely in the box, but more single high... And it may be that we end up losing that single-high ability and end up going to Cover 2/Heavy Nickel hybrid coverage defenses... Until Maye takes the field and performs, or shows he's limited, we won't know... But Kwon Alexander certainly made an amazing recovery as a slight larger weighted linebacker, cutting all over the field... Maybe the Saints have an Achilles expert they trust with Maye's injury, both evaluation, treatment and recovery/rehab... |
