Dead Cap situation in the next few years
After closer examination, it appears the dead cap for the players in the secondary take up a significant portion of the dead cap. It very likely the reason Ceedy was traded since they didn't want to tender what Ceedy wanted them to. We're still cap strapped in the next couple of years, the result of the previous contracts, including Mr. Glass himself, Terron Armstead... and Drew Brees of course. Yes, the cap is going up. Nonetheless the cap is the cap. Why did they then restructure Vannett's contract today? | |
