2022 New Orleans Saints: Coaching Staff

Well, this should be more interesting than it has in the past sixteen years...

Asst' Coaches I'd like to see us keep:

Ryan Nielsen

Kris Richard

Michael Hodges

Pete Carmichael

Dan Roushar

Zach Strief

Joel Thomas

Brian Young

Darren Rizzi

Phil Galiano

Want to keep Dennis Allen for continuity, but if the new HC brings in an equal or better, I'd be good with that...

Peter Giunta would also have his same place here, if he still wants it; but he's with his age, it may take some coaxing to retain him under a new regime...

What do you think the chances are that an outside hire would be okay with retaining current staff?

Of all of these coaches currently on staff ...

I think it's very likely we lose Kris Richard to either Pittsburgh or Baltimore.

IMO he did wonders with our DBs ... specifically rookie Paulson Adebo.

JP - you called it on Adebo. He is as good as advertised & his future is bright.

Well, one of those spots has now been taken ...

Well, if DA gets the HC gig, can see Richard being offered the DC slot...

I would actually prefer Kris Richard over DA as the HC. If we go in a different direction than DA I hope they make him the DC. He really had an impact on our secondary and did wonderful things in just one year. He's a real motivator which what I want in my HC. I understand that he's not only a motivator but works hard to help the players understand the defensive concept. It seemed to work for Adebo.

Said this the very hour Payton news broke. It makes sense.
