Your dream coach
If you could have any coach in the league who would you pick. Obviously a few coaches like Reed are untouchable considering how their teams are built. There are others that could be lured away from their current teams if the F.O. threw enough money at them and bought out their contract. Pete Carrol is one that comes to mind. Obviously we aren’t the most attractive team right now given our cap and Qb situation along with where we are in the draft. Most new coaches have a top 5-10 draft pick in their pocket because teams with high picks don’t typically **** can their coaches. Wonder how sold BB is on Jones.
The turd in the punch bowl this year is that we don’t have the picks to work with if there were to be a trade. We also have some big holes to fill on offense which makes us look even less attractive. I suspect our next coach will be a lame duck candidate. If he succeeds, great, if not we can bide our time until we are in a situation to make such a move. I seriously doubt money would be the issue here. |

Re: Your dream coach
Was never a Pittsburgh fan and at the time couldn't stand Bill (spit-boy) Cowher.
When Mike Tomlin came in everything changed in that organization. I would love to see him Coach in New Orleans. |

Re: Your dream coach
The reality is you don't wanna hire an established name. It simply costs too much. Besides, SP was not an established name when hired, but he became one as his career record exemplifies. There is someone out there worthy if management does their due diligence. Is it Allen, Carmichael , another on another team, who knows? We'll just be spectators and armchair QBs in assessing and giving our opinions. It's probably time for new blood. Shall we promote from within? It worked out for the Steelers a few times.
