It's one thing to eat dead money if a player has no more ability remaining, but it is another to have that dead cap being wasted while the player is still in his prime on another roster. This is a business. The team doesn't care what some butthurt fans might feel.

Agreed.

Yes mediocrity. He said "set up to be stuck in the middle", and he's not wrong. He didn't say we've been in the middle for the last half-decade. Are you stupid or do you just like to start fights...or is it both?

Yep NFL will no longer existent soon I guess you can tell that by how many people watch last Saturday and Sundays games.

Bills Chiefs - 51.7 million
Green Bay Dallas - 41 million
Los Angeles - San Fran 40 million
Cincinnati - Tennessee 30.75 million

Yep about roll up the carpet and turn out the lights 🤦*♂️

9-8 is mediocrity. We don't have Brees. We need a QB really bad. Our players aren't getting younger. I think we need to start from the ground floor and build up again or we are going to be stuck in this phase. We need to find a QB and build around him. We may have to endure a couple of bad seasons. Without Payton, do you really think we are going to replicate the 9-8? Even if we replicate it, we are borderline playoff team with a very very small chance to win a title. We need to shake things up. You can't be eternally optimistic about everything. Sometimes you have to be pragmatic and approach the situation as it really is.

Yup. Best viewing numbers in 25 years in some windows. Fastest growing sports product in the world and it's not even close.

9-8 with the first full month being displaced by Hurricane Ida. 9-8 with an all-time record number of starters during a season due to injuries and COVID. 9-8 with the starting QB going down in the 7th game. 9-8 without arguably the best WR in the game and clutch placekicker for the entire season. 9-8 with 22 players out with COVID for a single game. 9-8 playing only seven games at home during a 17 game season.

Context is all important. 9-8 given all the team faced is far from mediocre. It is remarkable.

I respect what you think we should do, but I am relieved we have who we have making the actual decisions.

Who Dat!

You don't respect anyone - even yourself. So then we're not talking about the last 5 years? Nice deflection/shift.

Poor little speedo and his ego.

You said the same thing about SP the day before he said he was stepping away. Forgive me for not taking your word for it.
