RE: Jimmy Williams
Well, so much for the "Williams must suck because no one else has signed him" theory. It breaks my heart. I'd glady have put in him Jason Craft's position, as I've stated many times before.
Let's see how he does with the Sea Chickens. |

RE: Jimmy Williams
Seeing how at best he's going to be a dimeback or special team performer... good luck to him with the Seahawks. It only took two games into the season and an injury to get him on someone's team. He's a budding star, I can see it now.
It's amazing by watching his preseason performance, he automatically becomes the solution to some of our problems. Please review his career accomplishments... nothing there to prove he will make this team any better. That's like saying let's go sign Kingsbury and put him as our second string quarterback because he played decent during training camp... (who Denver decided to cut from their practice squad and now has only two quarterback on their depth chart) I'm pretty sure if Jimmy Williams was put on Plax it would be the absolute same story. But then again, he'll get praise for holding him to only 5 catches and 67 yards before he got yanked rather than feeling the wrath of our forums. After that we'll start hearing excuses for him about him being rusty etc... Get over it, Jason Craft is on this team and NOT Jimmy Williams. I'm pretty sure people were jumping out of their seats when Craft made that big INT in the first game... and now after a bad game everyone is back on his case (nevermind people have always been on his case). It's tough when you aren't given an opportunity in the first place... just pick apart all the bad plays and discredit anything positive. Craft is not starting material which is why he's a dime/nickelback. He doesn't have the talent to stick a Plaxico Burress and was put into a bad position. His success lies strictly as a role player and so does Jimmy Williams who once again... is an career dimeback/special teams player. It's not like we don't have enough of those types of players on our team right now. |

RE: Jimmy Williams
I see your point Papz, and I'm not knocking it. I respect your opinion. I know Jimmy Williams is no pro-bowler. I know Jason Craft is not the antichrist.
But if you'll look through my past posts, you'll see I've been bashing on the Craft decision long before this last game. Or the one before it. In fact, even when he made that one interception - I continued to bash on him, saying he was beaten on the play, played poorly in that game, and simply got lucky with a poor throw from Delhomme to make the interception. I said any nickel in the league would've made that interception, regardless of whether it was Craft, Williams, or whoever. The point I wanted to make, and I'll stick to it, is that Craft was the wrong choice (IMO). I feel that Williams had more potential, would've costed less, and so should've been given the chance to play. I know he's no Deion Sanders, I know he's not the single reason we lose games. But Willaims was at least at the level of Craft (IMO), so the wrong choice was made (IMO). I may be right, or I may be wrong, but please don't include me in the general classification as a fair weather Jason Craft fan/poor weather Jason Craft basher. I've been bashing his performance all along. |
can anyone help me id this tune? it goes thwap thwap boom tch boom tch boom tch.

RE: Jimmy Williams
I'm glad you see the point I was trying to make as I see yours. Yes Jimmy Williams could be a viable dime corner for us and he comes much cheaper. Management has made it's decision already and we'll just have to live with having Craft on this team no matter if we liked him or not. Trust me I'm not denying the fact he looked horrible out there. Let's just hope he plays like he did in the first game... and the last half of the 2004.
Oh yea that's why I stated some people have always been on his case. |

RE: Jimmy Williams

RE: Jimmy Williams
I think JC sucks. (IMHO) lol
I thought so in pre season the first and the second game this season. I don't know if Jimmy Williams would have done better but if Fakir doesn't return quickly we are in trouble cause jason Carft couldn't hold my three year old (okay, I'm exagerating and I can't spell...so what?) I still hate it if he has to line up aginst another 1 or 2 or even 3 receiver. He sucks (IMHO) |
