Hard to deliver when you are injured. Many forget Mike played hurt for the Saints. Regardless, NO isn’t looking to trade MT.

Unless of course he doesn’t want to be in New Orleans & he’s already gone on record as being ready to put the injury bug behind him and back to balling on Sundays.

The franchise better have a damn good Plan B if he isn’t a part of this team in 2023 & beyond. We already know what we have in the supporting cast @ WR :o.

I think Mike is saying those things knowing good and damned well that he COULD be traded.

MT: "I'm focused, ready and eager to prove my worth"

Saints: "We're not trading MT" (drive price up)

I've heard more about the CAP lately, more than I really wanted to but everything that I'm hearing says the CAP hit would be too big for a trade or cut. He may sit out but I can't see another scenario.

I can't see where we would trade him and we sure aren't cutting arguably the best WR in the game. Unless he takes his uni off mid-game and tosses it into the stands. But yeah, other than that...

I think you have to factor in the Bress factor. He never had a chance to show out with anyone else. But Brees made many receivers look great, that went on to mediocrity on other teams, for a number of reasons.

After the intial injury, I forget how many games he came back and how many receptions did he catch? Not the same Thomas, now he is just worried about that big payday he received and would like to keep it going. Saints can drive up his value for trade.

The worry is who would replace him?

The only reason there is constant talks about trading Michael Thomas on this forum is because people don’t like him. Once the million dollar race horse gets out of line and says the wrong thing they have to be put down for their lack of appreciation. Rams aren’t trying to move Cooper Kupp. Chiefs aren’t trying to move Tyreek Hill. Packers don’t want to lose Davante Adams. But here are the Saints fans trying to move a top WR talent on a team that is deprived at that position and doesn’t have a QB. The QB whisperer is gone. You need all the talent you can get at these skill positions now. We aren’t about to scheme our way out of **** anymore.

Getting out of line is one thing. Ghosting the training staff and coach about an injury and costing yourself a season on the IR is something else. And for the record, Im upset about how he’s handled things but I’m not advocating a trade either.

I wouldn’t trust the Saints organization when it comes to managing an injury either. Delvin Breaux comes to mind.

Keyshawn spoke to that a while back in an interview I saw on the MT situation. He didn't call out the organization but he spoke to MTs career and long term future. If it were me I wouldn't never trust the team. Any team. Always get whatever they tell you verified.
