Does anyone.....
Does anyone still want to talk about how bad we got hosed, having to play our first home game in NY?
I don't care what the league or the Giants say or do, it still put the team at a disadvantage. And as tight as the NFC is going to be this year, this could go a long was toward determining a playoff spot. I know the Giants tried to make us "feel at home", but does anyone realize that the only time someone has to say that is when someone feels out of place? And as far as the relief telethon and the money it generated, that's wonderful, but it could have been done just the same in San Antonio, where the team is actually located and is, at the very least, in a neutral site. |

RE: Does anyone.....
We are normally a better road team than home team. So I have no complaints about where the game was being played. It's just an excuse. It's a loss, deal with it and move on. No point on dwelling on a game that has been played. Next on our schedule... Minnesota.

My sentiments exactly. Wah wah wah - you play football. Shut up and hit someone. Being in NY made you drop the ball 3 times? It made you miss blocks and commit stupid penalties? Shut up and play.

If we talk about last Monday's game at all then I want to focus on Joe Horn.
Until this year I appreciated Joe for his receiving talents but couldn't stand to hear him talk. In fact, before Monday night's game when they said that Horn would be mic'd up for the game I prepard myself for embarrassment. After the game Hasslet went on about how unfair that game was. It WAS unfair and he has every right to be so upset. This guy is so stressed out from the hurricane and from everything else that comes with being a head coach that he gets a pass from me regarding his complaints. That said... Joe Horn says that they lost the game. The better team had won the game. There were no excuses made. It's apparent to me that Horn wants to win very badly. He knows that he's the leader of the team and has really shown it. If the team plays smarter football in the coming weeks he will be a big reason why. The guy has really impressed me so far this year. Both on, but mostly off, the field. |

There's no excuse for Giants fans chanting "drown the Saints" in the bathrooms. Call it whining if you want, but those fans suck.
They're no Panthers fans. |
