We shall see.
Booth for a year than on to Jerry World...just a hunch.

It's about his daughter. He's trying to get a big hook in #BigMedia so he can help her advance without having to put time in on her back as ugly as that sounds...

If you're a Dad with a daughter, you'd appreciate this fully; he's had a *****ly relationship with media till his daughter went that way with her education, profession...

What's crazy is that some "fans" would rather have another disappointing season, the subsequent firing of MM & enter ... SeanP.

MINDSET is all f***** up in Dallas.

I'm concerned he's going to get too comfortable working less while getting paid a lot more. He has a ring and really has nothing to prove. How crappy would that be?

I hope Jerry is sending him and his wife gift baskets every week and when the time comes, a loaded Brinks truck to his front door.

Why the concern? Why would it be crappy? I'd love hearing him call games for the rest of his career. He's earned the opportunity to make twice the money while working a fraction of the hours and still stay close to the game he loves. I would guess the vast majority of coaches in the league would give up coaching for that deal in a second, especially if they are approaching the age of sixty, but only a very select few will ever get that opportunity. That's why I seriously doubt Payton returns to coaching, especially in a market like Dallas.

But one never knows.

Dallas fans have been delirious for over a quarter of a century thinking that their team is still relevant.

Because I selfishly would like compensation for him "retiring".

If I were him, I'd take the 12+ million a year calling games and not get back into coaching. I'm not him though. I rather get draft picks opposed to love hearing him call games for the rest of his career. That does not benefit the Saints.

I gotcha'. I just don't see an in-conference team getting the okay from the Saints if they told Miami that they couldn't even talk to him this off-season. That is, if you can believe this story. Then again, perhaps they said "no" simply because they knew for a fact that Payton wasn't interested in coaching right now as he has repeatedly said.
