Saints "home" game vs. Giants
I am a Saints fan from Pennsylvania, and attended the monday night game at Giants Stadium. It was quite possibly the biggest joke I've ever seen. There was a Saints flag flying above the stadium, the Saints name written in the endzone, Saints cheerleaders, and the team wore their home jerseys. That's about where the "home" part of the Saints game stops. The crowd was obviously (and not suprisingly) 99.99% Giants fans. It was so loud in there you could not hear anything on every third down offensive play we had. How's that for home field advantage?
I was wearing my Saints jersey proudly, and being harassed constantly. In one instance I went into the restroom, and as soon as a Giants fan spotted me they started chanting "drown the Saints!" ( refering to the flood). It was a disgrace to humanity. They had no idea whether or not I was a New Orleans native who might have lost everything to Katrina. In addition to that many of the fans booed 3 doors down who performed an emotional song about hurricane Katrina at halftime. To sum it all up, it was a pretty horrible experience watching our Saints shoot themselves in the foot time after time, while being surrounded by idiot scumbags throughout the night. |

RE: Saints "home" game vs. Giants
That's sickening.
I have particular distaste for the Giants, bordering on disgust, ever since that pathetic excuse for officiating in our game immediately following 9/11. I don't know if I can blame that on the team, or my favorite sordid sorry excuse for an official, Ed Hocule. He was the leader of that ragtag bunch of criminals, wasn't he? Regardless of who the real culprit was, the result was the same - the Saints got screwed by the Giants. Seems nothing has changed. I just wish the Saints would've gone out there and stuck one deep in their butts, in spite of the one-sided favoritism. I'm sorry to say that they couldn't pull it off. |
