Some great takes all around from you guys.
I can see it being a defining move that's worth the investment. I can also see us staying pat with Jameis and drafting well again after adding a handful of mid tier FAs. I'm leaning toward the latter just because that seems to have been the MO all offseason. |

Re: Deshaun Watson to Saints?
I'd be fine with the Saints trading away their next 4-5 1st round picks for Watson if he wanted to come to NOLA, and if they could make it work within the cap.
I've never been a huge fan of his even before all the drama, but he is probably a top 5 QB in the league and could solve the problem with the most important position for the next decade. Allen failed in part with the Raiders because he didn't have a franchise QB to lean on to, and even if his position is now more secure - I don't think he wants to repeat past failures. |

I wasn't a fan when he came here but I like the effort from Winston on and off the field. Winston can lead this team to the playoffs or deeper and we can use all those picks on one or two first round QB's with ammunition left for trades still in our pockets. |

So it is, at least partly, already "his team." You can always find ways to acquire additional 1st round picks, and you can certainly retool a winning team with picks from rounds 2 to 7. Add to that the UDFA and I don't think trading away the 1st round picks would be such a big deal IF adding Watson would produce another SB win. |

I was just watching Longhorn Baseball Network and they flashed A headline across the bottom of the screen: “Panthers plan to aggressively pursue Deshaun Watson”. Make of that what you will.

Matt Rhule has been terrible (5-11, 5-12) since hired as HC & their o line ranked 31st last season ![]() I'll be inclined to believe he'll pass on the Kittens. My guess is that he will land in Pittsburgh with weapons & a proven organization and HC. |
