Allen failed in part with the Raiders because he didn't have a franchise QB to lean on to, and even if his position is now more secure - I don't think he wants to repeat past failures.

I'd be fine with Watson. Giving away four or five first round picks isn't what a new coach needs to establish "his team" by being handcuffed in the first round. Dennis Allen needs all of those picks to build his team.

I wasn't a fan when he came here but I like the effort from Winston on and off the field. Winston can lead this team to the playoffs or deeper and we can use all those picks on one or two first round QB's with ammunition left for trades still in our pockets.
