I don't blame them on waiting for the WR market to adjust. It is way out of whack.

It's what this team does best, they wait until all the WR's are gone.

When we have negative cap space the money doesn’t matter… Now we sit here with roughly $23 million in cap space and we have to be careful with the contracts we give out.

Which of the free agent WR's signed to date do you feel we should have paid what they received? Just curious. Christian Kirk signed at 4 years for $72 million. Chark was mentioned a few times - $10 million one year. Has trouble staying healthy.

Still a lot available ... Jones, Landry, Fuller, Beasley, Hilton, Sanders, Cole, Watkins, Hurns, OBJ, Amendola, Goodwin, Humphries, Sanu, etc.

Most of those guys on that list are either injury prone or past their prime. Band aid on a bullet hole

What else was there available and what did they end up getting from elsewhere? Did they want to go somewhere without state taxes? Did they want to go near family? There's so many factors that none us know what taking place during the free agent season.

3 questions - how many reposted tweets will it take to answer them?

That’s a possibility but this problem didn’t spring up overnight, it was a problem stemming back at least since 2018 and SP nor the FO did anything to fix it. It was just super obvious last year. Most teams are gonna field two no. 1’s this year, while we more than likely with roll out MT and the scrubs. And another thing is we don’t know if MT will be MT. He had the same injury as Jimmy and Jimmy wasn’t the same guy after the ankle injury/surgery

Jimmy wasn't the same guy as Thomas before the injury. But, I'm willing to let the new regime have a chance here. Free agency just started and there will still be options left hanging until after the draft at all positions. I asked this of Major, but what do you think, who have we missed out on that we should have signed so far?

To the point about taxes - is the NFL the same as the NHL when it comes to players paying taxes?

In the NHL players pay taxes based on in which state they play games in, which means they pay a fixed tax rate for all of their home games, and a variable rate for all of their away games.

It used to be a hot topic among the Canadien teams that they were unfairly competing with teams from states like Florida. Then someone did the calculations, and the earnings difference was actually very small between signing with a high tax state team and a low tax state team.
