New Orleans - You are on the clock

Haha....i know that's jumping the gun a bit...or jumping offsides.

Guys i think we have probably seen the best of the Saints this season. All of the earlier emotion has faded, the smoke has cleared, and what we can see now is we still don't have a very good team. Our defense has played adequately, oddly enough. With the lack of a run stop and a still lacklluster secondary, they still gave the offense enough chances to win the game. I don't see how people can say it's the defense's fault. The woes for this team can rest on the shoulders on the special teams and the offense. When we fumble at the beginning of the game, it deflates the team and the whole gameplan changes. However, our main problem was the offense in my opinion. 2/11 or 2/12 on third...my god....who wins games with stats like this. The offense hasn't done much to help us win at all.

It's time to give up on this regime....just like i said before the season. Yeah we will win more games this season....proably get to 7-9 again. What after that??? Give everyone a pass because of the hurricane?? This team very much resembles much of the property in the ravaged hurricane area....damaged and unsalvageable. Time to blow it up and get a new coach and some new players. Who's out there....Scott Lineahan...or Kubiak, who we should've gotten in the first place. QB next year....i don't think we'll be bad enough to get Leinart....all the better because i'm not crazy about him. Jay Cutler i think is the best QB in college....either him or Vince Young. LBs we still need....we should have a shot at either Abdul Hodge, Chad Greenway, Ahmad Brooks,, or AJ Hawk....so i'm not too worried about that.

U guys have to agree now...this team is not good and it's time to start over...top to bottom.

Omar Jacobs at Bowling Green spk. Phenomenal QB. Heisman candidate, except playing for Bowling Green will prob hurt him.

There is the potential to be a glut of QBs in this draft.

Jay Cutler
Leinart
Charlie Whitehurst
Omar Jacobs
Marcus Vick

I would prefer Vick, but i don't think he's coming out. He would generate instant fan excitement which is what a rebuilding fan base needs, and would be an upgrade from Brooks. I used to be of the opinion that Vick isn't a good QB because he isn't a pocket passe but he doesn't have to be beecause of what the rest of his game brings. He will jut get better and better this season. Michael even says that Marcus is better than he is....sibling love all aside i believe him.

I would think that if Vick knew he had a high chance of being drafted by the Saints he would definitely go back for his Senior year!

Getting turnovers, scoring off turnovers! We needed to get a turnover from the Vikings to take over the game did we get it?no! When we needed the ball back in the 4th quarter to attempt to tie the game could we get the ball back?no!

Even the freakin Colts are winning on defense now, and everybody now is saying they finally are getting it right...Do you know the Bears right now have more scoring TD'S this season already than the Saints have from 2000-2005 combined. That's ridiculous for a teams defense that can't score a couple of turnovers a year, we have had 10 TD'S in 5 years combined! Lovie Smith gave his defense a 10 TD goal for the year.

Why cause teams feed off your defense, never ever have you heard that a team feeds off its offense, except the Rams of 99'.
Dude just look at what happened during the game. Opening kickoff, fumble....whoa i thought we were on offense...all of a sudden we're on D backed up in the red zone. I don't know a D in the league that could hold up against that. I'm not gonna even talk about the Bears because that game last week was an abberation. The Colts are an offensive juggernaut and were winning last year with no D at all.

Now you're saying that the D should be more responsible than our offense for putting points on the board????????? That's weak.

RE: New Orleans - You are on the clock

I don't think they're clueless, B'on'B. I thik they hit a valid point.

Yes, you've made a vaild point too - our defense sucks. And that's probably the key factor. I won't argue that point.

Yes, you hit another valid point - our special teams suck. What a turnaround from recent years past.

But yes, they've also made a valid point - our offense sucks. And it simply does. Many people have been pushing O as our strengh for years now, years, but it's simply not true. I can't blame these guys for pointing that out.

Our O sucks. They're right.

can anyone help me id this tune? it goes thwap thwap boom tch boom tch boom tch.

Qui a laissez sortir les chiens!

I know at least 20 that would, and have held up to such. Carolina has a knucklehead that turns it over as if he was a call-girl. We've had a defense that stayed on the field 2/3 of the game for years so I'm flabbergasted at the fact you don't remember!

Was the defense tired right after the fumbled opening return? Did the defense pressure Culpepper in the first 3 quarters? all WR'S ran freely and Culpepper was untouched for most of the game! Offenses are gonna strggle your defense is not supposed too!
Huh????

The offense is gonna stuggle but the defense is not supposed to???

That's gotta be the most damning statement you've made. Your bias is too clear.
