That's the big question. This year there is no "can't miss" prospect. There's usually a couple of players that are slam dunks to be top two picks because of that label. It is especially apparent in the QB's group.

Here's what I love about this draft.

We sit with two picks in a range where top tier talent always falls because other teams reach.

Therefore we're likely to get two quality starters and I'm prepared for that to be WR & T or LB and DE. I'll be happy either way.

I'm also prepared (actually expecting) a trade back into a higher round for someone we covet.

If the draft doesn't go our way, it seems like two veteran probowlers at S and WR can be signed immediately.

Yep.

Not to mention, trading up in the 1st rd is expensive as hell.

The value just isn't worth it.

You are aware that Loomis has never traded down, but has traded up 15 times. He has always stuck to the philosophy of quality of picks over quantity of picks every single time.
