this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Also ... still not another young QB in sight. At this point it seems we are sold on Book as the lone apprentice. Given the small number of QB's drafted this year and that we still didn't grab any in ...

Also ... still not another young QB in sight. At this point it seems we are sold on Book as the lone apprentice. Given the small number of QB's drafted this year and that we still didn't grab any in UDFA, seems like a pretty nice vote of confidence. I like it, over time I think Book will show us he's worth the investment.

He might not develop (I hope he does for the record) but the toughness he showed that game alone should guarantee him a roster spot to at least give him a chance.

Not only the fact that is head was spinning because it's his first live action, to have turnstiles for teammates Infront of you must be jarring.

I don’t think us failing to pick up a QB is about Book. I think it’s about showing Jameis Winston this team is his and that the organization believes in him. We have our starter. We have Andy Dalton as our back up. We don’t really need a young QB to develop. We already have one. Jameis is like 27 or 28 years old.
