2022 UDFA Signings Thread

I know it's early... but I am Jazz Festing today. So I'll create this here thread for later so that my BnG teammates can fill in the names and be more easily organized for us.

One guy that will likely go undrafted that we should try to get on the practice squad is Spencer Sanders the QB from Oklahoma State. For some reason when I watched him play I think he would convert well to safety or wide receiver over time. Just a strange hunch.

Hopefully they'll get an LB or Guard but I wouldn't hate it if they got this years version of Pierre Thomas.

We could definitely use a RB. Seems like we have a knack for finding good one after the draft.

If he can get better in the pass protection dept, he could be worth developing (practice squad).

I see we signed a camp kicker in Romo. Has anyone heard how Lutz is doing?

Chris, amazing job as always on the UDFAs, didn't even bother going to Twittersphere or local news - you got it all compiled right here for the Black & Gold Krewe...

Much Appreciation for you, Brother...

Lutz is supposedly quite recovered; usually an extra kicker is brought in (shared agent with another player) so the guy may learn, in this case, from Lutz...

Also ... still not another young QB in sight. At this point it seems we are sold on Book as the lone apprentice. Given the small number of QB's drafted this year and that we still didn't grab any in UDFA, seems like a pretty nice vote of confidence. I like it, over time I think Book will show us he's worth the investment.

He might not develop (I hope he does for the record) but the toughness he showed that game alone should guarantee him a roster spot to at least give him a chance.

Not only the fact that is head was spinning because it's his first live action, to have turnstiles for teammates Infront of you must be jarring.

I don’t think us failing to pick up a QB is about Book. I think it’s about showing Jameis Winston this team is his and that the organization believes in him. We have our starter. We have Andy Dalton as our back up. We don’t really need a young QB to develop. We already have one. Jameis is like 27 or 28 years old.

Some gems in this here list.

The WR kid from Nicholls looks good.

The RB out of Baylor could surprise.

The Smoke was paid 120k to sign with us. That means he's prolly better than most realize.

TE from Pitt, Krull, has a chance to stick.

Need more time to research the rest. :bng:

I’ve honestly never heard of Rashid Shaheed. That’s big money though so I’m guessing we don’t want to tie up money in a Deonte Harty contract extension.
